The Path To Royalty – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 2-Star Quest, The Path To Royalty. We’re off to the Flooded Forest to hunt a Rathian. You’ll find the location of the Rathian highlighted on the map so she’ll be no issue to track down.

Oh, what I wouldn’t give to be a queen! “Queen of the Land”? Who wouldn’t love a title like that!? Perhaps I may learn a thing or two from the queen herself! Valiant Knight of Kamura! I order you to hunt a Rathian!

Monster Hunter Rise

Rathian is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, Flooded Forest, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to both Dragon and Thunder elemental damage.

Rathian can inflict both Poison and Fireblight with its attacks. Armor that resists the fire element will prove very useful in this fight. You’ll want to pack Antidotes to reverse the Poison status effect as well.

The most damaging attack in Rathian’s arsenal is a backflip that she can perform. She’ll generally take a small step back right before initiating this attack, so watch her feet. During a rage she can perform this attack twice in a row, and also adjust the angle of the attack, so be careful.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Rathian can include; Rathian Scale, Rathian Shell, Rathian Webbing, Rathian Spike, Flame Sac, Monster Bone L, Rathian Plate, Rath Wingtalon, Rathalos Marrow, and Wyvern Tear.
