Thundering Voice – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 6-Star Quest, Thundering Voice. We’re off to the Frost Islands to hunt a Tigrex. You’ll find the location of the Tigrex highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
I hear roars echoing all over, no idea where they come from. I feat it might be a Tigrex! Wherever I hide, the growling follows. Please, I beg of you… Hunt the source of that sound before it catches up with me!
Monster Hunter Rise
Tigrex is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Frost Islands, Sandy Plains, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Thunder, Dragon, and Water elemental damage.
The key to taking down Tigrex is to tire him out. When the fight first starts, Tigrex will begin by charging all over the place, hardly leaving an opening to attack him in. However as the fight progresses, he will begin to tire and slow down. This will lead to more and more openings, so be patient with this monster.
Normally Tigrex can perform its charge attacks twice in a row, three times if it is in a rage. It also has multiple finishing abilities that it can use at the end of its charge attack. The most annoying of these is a 360 degree tail spin. Dodge its charges by running perpendicular to it, wait to make sure it wont do its tail spin at the end of the charge and then try to get a hit or two before repeating the process. Once it slows down the fight will get much easier.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Tigrex can include; Tigrex Shell, Tigrex Scale, Tigrex Claw, Tigrex Fang, Tigrex Tail, Tigrex Scalp, and Wyvern Tear.
