Twisted Desire – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 6-Star Quest, Twisted Desire. We’re off to the Sandy Plains to hunt a Diablos. You’ll find the location of the Diablos highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Those horns are so cool! Fit for a name like “Diablos” for sure, with that twisted shape. I’d love to get my hands one and craft my store sign from it. I bet it’d do wonder for business!
Monster Hunter Rise
Diablos is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Sandy Plains. It is weak to Ice, Water, Dragon, and Thunder elemental damage.
Diablos has numerous highly damaging attacks. He likes to burrow underground and explode up from beneath you. You can counter this by guarding if you have a weapon with this capability, or by using a sonic bomb just after he has finished burrowing. The Sonic Bomb will leave him open for attacks afterwards whereas the guard mechanism will not interfere with his attack, just prevent you from taking massive damage.
Diablos’s charging attacks can be baited into large pillars for a chance to get his horns stuck in them, leaving him exposed to your attacks for a time as well.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Diablos can include; Diablos Shell, Diablos Ridge, Diablos Fang, Diablos Tailcase, Dash Extract, Diablos Marrow, Twisted Horn, and Wyvern Tear.
