Totally Not Cool, Kulu! – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 4-Star Hub Quest; Totally Not Cool, Kulu! We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to slay two Kulu-Ya-Ku. You’ll find the location of the Kulu-Ya-Ku’s highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.
A pair of Kulu-Ya-Ku is after the eggs I had dibs on for my dango! No fair, AND rude! But if you can keep them occupied, I can grab the eggs before they eat ’em. You’ll help me out, right? RIGHT?
Monster Hunter Rise
Kulu-Ya-Ku is a large Bird Wyvern found primarily in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, Flooded Forest, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Water, Thunder, Fire, Dragon, and Ice elements.
For this quest, you’ll be hunting two of these birds. Try to take them one at a time, as the jumping attacks can be a nuisance if you have to try and keep an eye on two at the same time. Remember to stun them or aim for the tails, once they dig up rocks, this will help you to avoid the deflecting that the rocks can cause.
Slay one and then simply move on to the next bird when you’re ready. This quest shouldn’t present too much of an issue. If you need Kulu-Ya-Ku parts for High-Rank gear, this is an excellent way to farm them.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Kulu-Ya-Ku can include; Kulu-Ya-Ku Scale +, Kulu-Ya-Ku Hide +, Kulu-Ya-Ku Plume +, Kulu-Ya-Ku Beak +, Monster Bone +, Bird Wyvern Gem, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.
