White Knight Vs Hunter – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 3-Star Hub Quest, White Knight Vs Hunter. We’re off to the Frost Islands to hunt a Barioth. You’ll find the location of the Barioth highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.

I am a warrior, roaming these lands to hone my skills. I’ve come to the Islands to observe the so-called “White Knight.” I long to challenge it, however, it is custom in my country to allow you the honor first. Have at it, brave Hunter!

Monster Hunter Rise

Barioth is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Frost Islands. It is weak to Fire and Thunder elemental damage.

Unless you’re already familiar with Barioth, he can be quite the handful. While fighting a Barioth, your primary goal is to break as many parts as possible. Each part that you break of Barioth’s will weaken him fairly substantially. Severing the tail will reduce his range, breaking his fangs will negate his icy breath attacks, destroying his claws will make him slip and fall. Your first target should always be his claws, limiting his mobility on the ice will make the fight go much smoother. You can use flashbombs and traps in combination with the Partbreaker skill to speed this fight along if you have access to them.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Barioth can include; Barioth Shell, Barioth Pelt, Barioth Claw, Barioth Spike, Barioth Tail, Frost Sac, Amber Fang, and Wyvern Tear.
