Sharpening Amber Fangs – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 6-Star Hub Quest, Sharpening Amber Fangs. We’re off to the Frost Islands to hunt a Barioth. You’ll find the location of the Barioth highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
My boyfriend’s on his way here for my birthday. Oh, thank you! Anyway, he’ll be passing through the Frost Islands to get here and I just heard that a Barioth has been spotted! Hunter, I didn’t get all dolled up for nothing! You gotta get rid of it so he (and his presents) arrive safely!
Monster Hunter Rise
Barioth is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Frost Islands. It is weak to Fire and Thunder elemental damage.
Barioth becomes significantly easier to deal with, the more of his parts that you break. Aim for cutting off his tail to reduce the range on a number of his attacks. Break the head to cause his Ice Breath attacks to fail. Most importantly, destroy his arm spikes to reduce his mobility on the ice, to the point where he will even slip and fall sometimes. Aim for destroying the arm spikes first to get the most bang for your buck early in the fight.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Barioth can include; Barioth Carapace, Barioth Pelt +, Barioth Claw +, Barioth Spike, Barioth Tail, Freezer Sac, Wyvern Gem, Amber Fang +, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.
