Blasted Basarios! – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 2-Star Hub Quest, Blasted Basarios! We’re off to the Sandy Plains to hunt a Basarios. You’ll find the location of the Basarios highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.

Monster Hunter Rise
Basarios is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Sandy Plains and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Dragon, Thunder, Water, Fire, and Ice elemental damage.
Basarios has a tough outer shell which covers its entire body and makes it very resistant to attacks. You can either focus your attacks on trying to break its chest or its back. Focusing on the chest is the easier method since after it is broken your attacks on the chest will no longer bounce off. It also has the ability to inflict Poison status through its gas attacks, bring Antidotes to counter the status.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Basarios can include; Basarios Shell, Basarios Pleura, Basarios Wing, Basarios Tail, Poison Sac, Flame Sac, Machalite Ore, and Wyvern Tear.
