Bouncing Brawlers – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 2-Star Quest, Bouncing Brawlers. We’re off to the Frost Islands to hunt a Lagombi and a Tetranadon. You’ll find the location of both monsters highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.
I haven’t slept in days and it’s all because of those two stupid monsters. Fighting all day…Fighting all night! They never let up! The roaring. The rumbling. I can’t take it anymore! Please, I need some sleep! SHUT THEM UP!
Monster Hunter Rise
For this quest, you’ll find both Lagombi and Tetranadon on the map together. You’ll want to try and defeat them one at a time so that you don’t end up getting caught in a monster brawl. Quests featuring multiple monsters will typically scale down the HP Pool of each of the individual monsters to make up for the fact that you’ll be facing more than one consecutively.
Lagombi
Lagombi is a Fanged Beast class Monster found primarily in the Frost Islands. It is weak to both Fire and Thunder elements.
Lagombi will launch large snowballs at the Hunter from a distance, it also has the ability to slide across the top of the snow, making it significantly faster. If it begins to slide around, the hunter can use a Sonic Bomb to disrupt the attack and open Lagombi up to a counterattack.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Lagombi can include; Lagombi Pelt, Lagombi Plastron, Lagombi Iceclaw, Jumbo Bone, Lagombi Ear, and Beast Tear.

Tetranadon
Tetranadon is a large Amphibian Monster found primarily in the Shrine Ruins, Frost Islands, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Thunder, Fire, and Ice elements.
Tetranadon has two forms, the first has him on all fours, while in the second he stands up on his back legs and looks similar to a Sumo Wrestler. In this second form he has significantly increased attack power. While in the second form you can also attack his belly, doing enough damage to the belly will topple him and also force a change back to the first form.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Tetranadon can include; Tetranadon Hide, Tetra Carapace, Tetranadon Beak, Aqua Sac, Jumbo Bone, Tetranadon Disc, and Shiny Nacre.
