BZZZZZ Or ZZZZzzzz – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Quest, BZZZZZ Or ZZZZzzzz. We’re off to the Frost Islands to hunt a Khezu and a Somnacanth. You’ll find the location of both monsters highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.

My boyfriend is straight trippin’. He thinks that Somnacanth are cuter than Khezu. HELLO! Obviously Khezu are but he won’t budge. Well, if he won’t see it my way, then I guess we’ll let you settle his!

Monster Hunter Rise

Khezu

Khezu is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Frost Islands and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Fire elemental damage.

Khezu is the more dangerous of the two monsters here. If your not careful its Thunderblight combined with its leap attacks can be a deadly combo. Bringing armor of more than 20 Thunder Resistance will make you immune to Thunderblight and greatly reduce the damage of some of Khezu’s most powerful moves. Highly recommended. Once hes been dealt with, move onto the Somnacanth.

Somnacanth

Somnacanth is a Leviathan Class Monster found in the Frost Islands, Flooded Forest, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Thunder and Fire elemental damage.

You can wire-dash to avoid most of Somnacanth’s sleep attacks, so use it liberally. After taking down Khezu, Somnacanth shouldn’t be too much of an issue, you’ve fought it plenty by now. Try to break its head to limit some of its offensive capabilities, or try to force it onto land to severely reduce its mobility. Either strategy will make the rest of the fight quite abit easier.
