Divine Comedy – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 4-Star Hub Quest, Divine Comedy. We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to hunt an Arzuros and a Kulu-Ya-Ku. You’ll find the location of them both highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.

You’re kidding me! Why’s there gotta be an Arzuros AND a Kulu-Ya-Ku on my route when I’ve got honey and eggs to deliver!? Is this some kind of punishment from the gods!?

Monster Hunter Rise

Arzuros

Arzuros is a Fanged Beast type Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Fire, Ice, and Thunder elemental damage.

You’ve fought Arzuros by now so his moveset and tactics shouldn’t be a surprise. If you keep some Honey on you, he will steal it by grabbing you during the fight and sit down to eat it. This leaves him open to a significant amount of damage, unfortuneately you’ll also lose your store of Honey!

Defeat Arzuros and move on to Kulu-Ya-Ku as soon as you can.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Arzuros can include; Arzuros Carapace, Arzuros Pelt +, Arzuros Brace +, Stoutbone, Honey, Beast Gem, Beast Tear, Large Beast Tear, Sushifish, and Goldenfish.

Kulu-Ya-Ku

Kulu-Ya-Ku is a large Bird Wyvern found primarily in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, Flooded Forest, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Water, Thunder, Fire, Dragon, and Ice elements.

Kulu-Ya-Ku’s biggest strength is the rock that it likes to dig up and carry around. To get him to drop it you’ll need to stun him, or cause him to flinch. Until he drops it, he will likely be able to deflect the majority of your attacks. Alternatively, you can try to focus your attacks on his tail to avoid the deflections caused by the rock. Finish him off to complete the quest.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Kulu-Ya-Ku can include; Kulu-Ya-Ku Scale +, Kulu-Ya-Ku Hide +, Kulu-Ya-Ku Plume +, Kulu-Ya-Ku Beak +, Monster Bone +, Bird Wyvern Gem, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.
