King Of The Sky, Bane Of The Land – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 6-Star Quest; King Of The Sky, Bane Of The Land. We’re off to the Lava Caverns to hunt a Rathalos and a Tigrex. You’ll find the location of both monsters highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.
My subordinates had enough of their harsh missions and rebelled. I was forced to take responsibilitty and demoted to the Lava Caverns. I need to get better at my job, but to do so I need to survive first! Help!
Monster Hunter Rise
Rathalos
Rathalos is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Dragon, Thunder, Ice, and Water elemental damage.
Bring plenty of Flashbombs to bring Rathalos down to the ground. He likes to try and spend most of the fight airborne, where he has the advantage. Use your Wirebug attacks or Flashbombs to bring him down to the ground where you can finish him off.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Rathalos can include; Rathalos Scale, Rathalos Shell, Rathalos Webbing, Rathalos Tail, Flame Sac, Rathalos Marrow, Rathalos Plate, Rath Wingtalon, and Wyvern Tear.

Tigrex
Tigrex is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Frost Islands, Sandy Plains, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Thunder, Dragon, and Water elemental damage.
Tigrex will spend the majority of the fight charging around. Let him wear himself down and just focus on evading his attacks and getting his pattern down for the first few minutes. It becomes substantially easier to deal with Tigrex once he starts to tire from all the charging around. Remember that his charges can happen upto twice in a row normally or three times in a row when he is in a rage state.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Tigrex can include; Tigrex Shell, Tigrex Scale, Tigrex Claw, Tigrex Fang, Tigrex Tail, Tigrex Scalp, and Wyvern Tear.
