Learning The Light Bowgun – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 4-Star Hub Quest, Learning The Light Bowgun. We’re off to the Frost Islands to slay a Great Baggi and a Great Wroggi. You’ll find the location of both of them highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.
Alright, Ace, lesson time! The patth to light bowgun masterdy is paved by the Great Baggi and the Great Wroggi. Their sly and agile combat is full of potential for new hit and run tactics for this weapon!
Monster Hunter Rise
Great Baggi
Great Baggi is a large Bird Wyvern found primarily in the Frost Islands. It is weak to Fire, Water, and Thunder elements.
First up is the Great Baggi, he can inflict sleep and travels with a pack of smaller Baggi monsters. Defeat the smaller Baggi’s first to make dealing with the Great Baggi a little easier. Once you’ve dealt with him, head over to the Great Wroggi.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Great Baggi can include; Great Baggi Hide +, Great Baggi Claw +, Coma Sac, Bird Wyvern Gem, Monster Bone +, King’s Crest, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.

Great Wroggi
Great Wroggi is a Bird Wyvern found in the Shrine Ruins, Flooded Forest, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Ice and Water elements.
This is your first opportunity to slay a High-Rank Great Wroggi so you can always repeat this quest if you need to farm any of its pieces. Great Wroggi will primarily attack with Poison based attacks, making Antidotes crucial to surviving this fight. Great Wroggi can both Spit Poison and spray a Poisonous Mist attack. You can use your Wirebug moves to more easily avoid these attacks.
