Miner Problem – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Hub Quest, Miner Problem. We’re off to the Sandy Plains to hunt a Basarios. You’ll find the location of the Basarios highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Had a new guy on the team get pretty messed up by a Basarios. He came across a boulder juttin’ up out of the ground and thought he hit the jackpot. Poor kid didn’t know what he was doing when he planted a pickaxe square in the monster’s rocky rear.
Monster Hunter Rise
Basarios is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Sandy Plains and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Dragon, Thunder, Water, Fire, and Ice elemental damage.
Most attacks will bounce off of Basarios’ shell until it is broken. You can focus on attacking its chest until it begins to break, or the second option, is if you can bring explosives, like Large Barrel Bombs. You can place them and bait Basarios into charging into them. Getting him with a few of these explosives will help to soften his armor and allow you to make faster progress on breaking through his shell. Any parts you break will make it so that future attacks to that area will not bounce off.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Basarios can include; Basarios Carapace, Basarios Pleura +, Basarios Tear, Basarios Tail, Toxin Sac, Inferno Sac, Carbalite Ore, Wyvern Gem, Basarios Wing, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.
