Off Your Rocker – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 4-Star Quest, Off Your Rocker. We’re off to the Lava Caverns to hunt a Basarios. You’ll find the location of the Basarios highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Dude…I’m freaking out. Every time I go to the Lava Caverns, I keep hearing this creepy voice. Like, I look around, and no one is there! No one! Uh, can you go and check it out for me? I know I’m not crazy!
Monster Hunter Rise
Basarios is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Sandy Plains and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Dragon, Thunder, Water, Fire, and Ice elemental damage.
This can be a tough monster to face, expect your attacks to bounce off of basically its entire body. You’ll want to try and break its chest/belly area and then focus your attacks there going forward. You can use items like barrel bombs to help with this, simply plant the bomb and then have Basarios charge into it. Basarios has the ability to inflict poison status with its gas attack, as well as fireblight with its fire breath attacks. Bring antidotes for the first and Fire Resistant armor for the latter, 20+ points of Fire resistance will make you immune to Fireblight.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Basarios can include; Basarios Shell, Basarios Pleura, Basarios Wing, Basarios Tail, Poison Sac, Flame Sac, Machalite Ore, and Wyvern Tear.
