Shady Monster – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 1-Star Quest, Shady Monster. We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to hunt an Aknosom. You’ll find the location of the Aknosom highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.

Monster Hunter Rise
Aknosom is a Bird Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Frost Islands. It is weak to Water, Thunder, and Ice elemental damage.
Aknosom uses a number of Fire-based attacks, if you can lure it into or near water, you’ll have a much easier time dealing with it. Monsters fought in Hub quests typically have higher HP pools than there Village Quest counterparts so be aware that this fight will likely take longer than when you defeated it in one of the Village Quests.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Aknosom can include; Aknosom Scale, Aknosom Feather, Aknosom Beak, Flame Sac, Monster Bone M, Aknosom Crest, and Wyvern Tear.
