Wind Speed Wyvern – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Quest, Wind Speed Wyvern. We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to hunt a Nargacuga. You’ll find the location of the Nargacuga highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Nargacuga are so cool, right? And fast too! How is it that they are so light on their feet !? I MUST know! I bet if I made some Nargacuga shoes I could be just as fast as they are!
Monster Hunter Rise
Nargacuga is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Thunder, Fire, and Dragon elemental damage.
Nargacuga can give you some trouble the first time you fight it. It is highly mobile, making it difficult to fight with any of the heavier weapons, such as the greatsword or hammer. Many of its attacks will also reposition the monster, making it difficult to get close to. Take some time at the start of the fight to learn its movement patterns before charging in to engage it. Be especially careful of its brutal backflip/tail smash attack. You will mostly want to stick to the sides when fighting this monster.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Nargacuga can include; Nargacuga Blackfur, Nargacuga Scale, Nargacuga Fang, Nargacuga Cutwing, Narga Tailspike, Nargacuga Tail, Nargacuga Marrow, and Wyvern Tear.
