A Pale Shadow – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 2-Star Hub Quest, A Pale Shadow. We’re off to the Frost Islands to hunt a Khezu. You’ll find the location of the Khezu highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.

Monster Hunter Rise
Khezu is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Frost Islands and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Fire elemental damage.
Khezu can hit extremely hard with its Thunder-based attacks, make sure that any armor you have equipped is not weak to the Thunder element. It will also inflict Thunderblight with its attacks, Thunderblight makes it much more likely for a Hunter to become stunned by a monster, the combination of high damage attacks and high stun chance is what makes this fight tough. Bring Nulberries to counter the Thunderblight.
Khezu has a tell, before most of its high damage Thunder moves it will latch its tail to the ground, if you see it do this you have to start dodging away. During a rage it also has the ability to do two of its shock attacks in rapid succession, so don’t move in too quickly after its first shock if it is in the rage state, as it is likely a second one will immediately happen.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Khezu can include; Flabby Hide, Suspicious Fang, Pale Extract, Pale Bone, Electro Sac, Monster Bone M, and Wyvern Tear.
