Case Of The Creepy Crawlies – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 2-Star Quest, Case Of The Creepy Crawlies. We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to slay 14 Altaroth or Bnahabra. You’ll find the locations of these small insects highlighted on the map, so they’ll be easy enough to track down. Altaroth are the Ant-like insects with the glowing orbs on their backs that you’ll see in groups of 2-3 usually wandering the map. Bnahabra are the flying wasp-like creatures you’ll encounter on the map.
Some kids were telling us about all the bugs at the Shrine Ruins. Creepy crawly bugs… bugs that fly–yuck! I am NOT going there with all those bugs! Can you go out and exterminate those pests!?
Monster Hunter Rise
These insects are easy enough to kill, but difficult to actually get carves from. For the most part, they will explode if you do too much damage to them when you defeat them. If carving from them is your goal, you can use Poison knives or Poison Smokebombs to kill them. Poison deals low amounts of damage over time so you’re almost guaranteed a carve using this method.
You can craft Poison smokebombs by combining a Smokenut with a Toadstool. Both of these items are fairly easy to farm in the Flooded Forest map.
Carves, Drops and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Altaroth can include; Altaroth Stomach, Altaroth Jaw, Monster Fluid, Ripened Mushroom, Nulberry, Honey, and Fine Stomach.
Carves, Drops and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Bnahabra can include; Bnahabra Shell, Bnahabra Wing, Bnahabra Stinger, and Monster Fluid.
