Raging White Out – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 4-Star Quest, Raging White Out. We’re off to the Frost Islands to hunt a Barioth. You’ll find the location of the Barioth highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
The area surrounding the Frost Islands is scarce in food as it is and now a Barioth has been spotted in the area. Surely we will starve if this nuisance isn’t dealt with!
Monster Hunter Rise
Barioth is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Frost Islands. It is weak to Fire and Thunder elemental damage.
Barioth uses its speed to launch fast-paced attacks to catch you off guard. Hit and Run attacks are very effective against him, as you will be unlikely to get him to stand still long enough to deal a combo. If you can manage to break parts of Barioth you will make your time fighting him much easier. You can break its claws to make it slip on the ice when it launches its large attacks, destroying its fangs will prevent it from being able to use its Ice breath attack, and severing its tail will greatly reduce the effectiveness of its tail attacks. The highest priority should be to destroy the Forearm spikes to reduce Barioth’s movement on the ice though.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Barioth can include; Barioth Shell, Barioth Pelt, Barioth Claw, Barioth Spike, Barioth Tail, Frost Sac, Amber Fang, and Wyvern Tear.
