Red Skies At Night – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 6-Star Hub Quest, Red Skies At Night. We’re off to the Lava Caverns to hunt a Rathalos. You’ll find the location of the Rathalos highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
I saw it one night: a stunning firework rising up above the Caverns, so bright, the night looked like day. If that was the doing of a monster, it’s got to be a pro at using fire. I need to know what it was.
Monster Hunter Rise
Rathalos is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Dragon, Thunder, Ice, and Water elemental damage.
Rathalos will try to spend most of the fight in the air. You can use flashbombs to ground him, or you can use Wirebug attacks to reach him in the air as well. While on the ground you can keep him there longer with traps. Hes very straight forward to fight, just keeping him within reach is the difficult part. While in a rage he gains a large damage and speed boost so take care.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Rathalos can include; Rathalos Scale +, Rathalos Carapace, Rathalos Wing, Rathalos Tail, Inferno Sac, Rathalos Marrow, Rathalos Medulla, Rathalos Plate, Rathalos Ruby, Rath Wingtalon +, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.
